Our mission is simply to help women attorneys like you, at all stages of your career, find a better work-life balance. We provide resources that improve the promotion, retention and leadership of women attorneys in the legal profession and beyond.

In order to achieve our goal, we encourage women members like you to network with each other and our The Legal Balance Leaders, to help you maintain and advance your careers. Providing a safe and supportive forum for women attorneys like you to discuss and have your questions answered is a key component of The Legal Balance's ambition of providing a work-life balance resource. We will continue to draw upon the collective knowledge base that all members bring to the community. In addition to this accumulation of member knowledge, we have a treasure of exceptional women attorneys, our The Legal Balance Leaders, who have demonstrated excellence in the field of law, and will serve as mentors to The Legal Balance community. We wish to provide a place for your questions to be answered in a supportive atmosphere.

The Power of the Purse

We believe in The Power of the Purse, a personal philosophy that suggests when women are given the resources to income and professional power, the ability to make choices for themselves increases; the philosophy has become a guiding principle for us. It is truly the driving force behind creating this community.

Contributions

As part of our objective and purpose, a portion of our membership fees will be donated to two charities: Connections for Abused Women and their Children (CAWC) and Women in Need Growing Stronger (WINGS); two organizations striving to improve the economic status and overall welfare of women and children.
